Favorite Things

Oprah has her favorite things, and so do I!  Unfortunately I won't be able to give everything away (there is actually nothing to give away on this list) to a studio audience, but so you can get to know me a little bit better I wanted to share a few of my favorite things (in no particular order).

Facebook

Not only does Facebook pay my bills, they have changed the way communication happens globally.  I am in awe every day that I get to be part of making the world more open and connected and watching the way consumers and brands interact.

Lululemon

One of my goals in life is to be able to go to work in stretchy clothing.  The moment I walk into my house from anywhere I strip off my clothing and put on something soft and comfy from Lululemon.  I love everything about this company from the retail experience to the blog.

Brooklyn

Saying the words I love Brooklyn is a complete understatement.

French Bulldogs

I love puppies in general, but a specific funny looking bat eared small dog has completely stolen my heart.  If I could rescue all of these little naughty puppies, I would.  My specific naughty girl (Sophie Chunk) is four years old and quite the city girl!

The Beach

My head is always a bit more clear on the beach.  There is something about the turquoise waters, calming sound of waves, soft sand at my feet and sunshine on my face.  Every trip I take to the  beach, I always declare that I am never leaving.

The burn after a hard workout

Farmers Markets

I LOVE going to the farmers market, in the summer its generally one of the highlights of my week.  I am committed to eating whole organic foods as much as possible (I make all of our own bread, pasta, sauces, spice blends...etc).

Cooking

Cooking has recently become a passion for me (when I got married I knew nothing about cooking).  I LOVE making delicious food with a whole grain healthy twist.  I have started photographing my foods and plan on personally producing a cookbook at some point.  This is a photo of Artisan Whole Wheat bread that rose for 18 hours and was cooked in my Le Creuset french oven.

There is nothing like the high you feel at the end of the workout, but my favorite part is the burn you feel the next day.  I love feeling the fruits of my labor and knowing that my body is responding.

Hiking

Weather exploring Yosemite (or another gorgeous national park) or the concrete jungle I love walking/hiking.  At minimum I try to get 10,000 steps per day which equates to 4 - 5 miles.

Champagne

Champagne, Prosecco, Cava, Sparking Wine; as long as its dry and bubbly I LOVE them all.  I believe life is a celebration and there is always a reason to toast the day with a glass of champagne!
